I connected with mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our 1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. Then I keep a note on my phone for what my savings are broken down into e.g £5k savings includes £100 for birthday presents and £1000 for a holiday, for example. Love these videos Shan. My daughter was 24 at the end of July and we have never spent her child benefit. When she was born you had to have a bank account so the money just went right into one we opened for her when she was born. Along with money she got for birthdays, Christmases and throughout the years when she was really young she has now got a huge lump sum towards her first property - which she's hoping to buy next year. She's been living in London for the past 5 years and is moving back home to save up for a year to give her even more savings

    • @simonalcroft7897

If only you’d actually put that money to work. If you haven’t spent any for 24 years and saved all of the birthday and Christmas money it’s possible that she’s got £50,000 to go towards a property. If instead you’d of invested that money into any good mutual fund, she’d have enough to buy the property outright. You went halfway at least.

Hi shan, love these videos and best of luck for your holidays x. On a recent vlog, you mentioned about going to Morocco. I recently went and I'm a mum of a 1 year old. Milk wise, you shouldn't struggle there with finding milk, it's really available in many stores and very convenient. However, it's best to take ready made baby food or purees. Resteraunts even allow u to warm the milk up. Dont forget finger foods and purees. This is because finding food and even finger food on the go was a little struggle for me. But hygiene and water wise, it's so much better than I ever thought! It is a very clean, hygienic environment , so yeah, you shouldn't worry about any of that!. Let me know if you have any questions x

Car seats, travel cots and prams are all free and you usually get 2 items per child! I highly recommend taking a car seat, you have to get a bag for them but they are fab as you can hide a lot of extra bits in there! The car seat is where I put all my nappies, wipes and adhoc bits! They’re a lifesaver. It also gives me peace of mind as I know the history of the car seat safety ☺️ also grecommend a snack tray with compartments for George & Halle to have as that keeps my little boy occupied for ages on a flight! If flying from Gatwick, there is soft play on Level 1 which is great to knacker them out so they’re happy to chill for a bit on the plane! Best of luck, you’ll be fine 🫶🏻

You’ll have an amazing holiday! A few tips from flights I’ve done: - Aim to take 1 new entertainment thing out every 20-30mins to make sure the things seem new & exciting and last for the whole flight - Busy board is a great idea! Our little boy loves his still at nearly 3 - Maybe keep the little memory tiles & dinosaurs for the holiday itself & not the plane (or will end up scrabbling on the floor to try to get them back whenever the tray table gets knocked) - Good simple things for Halle on the plane: post-it notes (our baby spent aaages just sticking them to the seat in front!), little gel stickers & suction toys you can stick to the plane window - Bring more snacks than you think you’ll ever need - box of little cheerios / raisins etc that will take a while to eat individually & occupy some time - Make sure you bring a change of clothes for you & your husband in your hand luggage in case of 💩 or 🤢 - Bring something the kids can suck on during take off & landing to help with their ears hurting (dummy, lollipop..) & a dummy clip is helpful if Halle uses dummies.. again to avoid things falling on the gross floor - Have some calpol with you in hand luggage just in case it’s needed on the plane. Baby piriton before the flight can help if they get stuffy noses from the air con on board (drowsy version is a winner too 🤣) - Baby carrier for when you’re getting off plane / security etc before you can pick up your pushchair Have the best time. It definitely won’t be a relaxing holiday, but there will be some amazing times too and you’ll look back & be so glad you made the effort!

Also, don’t know if you’re staying in a hotel / apartment etc but bring or buy out there some breakfast stuff so the kids can eat in the room. It’s one thing having to get kids to behave in a restaurant but doing it 3 times a day can be stressful….! Oh and make sure you take shifts so you and your partner at least get the odd hour here and there to just chill out in the sun!

You typically get two pieces of child items free which each child - out of a certain seat, buggy and a cot. Also window spinners!! They’re great for the plane, transfer and the hotel room. My 3 year old loves them but a younger child would too. Also when we last went away, we were able to get full fat milk behind the bar (I guess they use it for coffee etc) and just got it when we needed it rather than faffing with formula

Oh and !! A snack tray thing - I got an earring case from Shein with all the compartments. Great for the plane and also really flat pack which we love. This time I’m also going to make some puzzles! Going to get a few family pictures, laminate them and then cut them into shapes. These will be flat for the plane and also interesting because they’re pictures of us! And lastly Primark had some ‘Lego’ pouches reduced to £1. I got a couple of cars for my boy to build and then play with on holiday. I’ll keep the pouches and deconstruct the cars to see if he can build them again on the way home! Hope that helps x

Try and keep some plane toys for George for the way home as well so he has something new on the way back too, I also find planes are easier than long car journeys you can actually help entertain them and sit next to them and my little boy who’s the same age as George was just so excited to be on a plane this time when we went he wasn’t even bothered about his toys for ages 😂 have fun it’s not as stressful as you think it will be! We went this time with my 4 month old (Hallie) and my just turned 4 year old son and it was absolutely fine! Hope that’s reassuring 🫶🏻

I did a travel series over on my channel. I actually found the plane easier as it was exciting for them! Just be prepared and keep your stress levels as low as possible as they will play on your emotions!

I’m keeping my little one on formula for another 2-3 weeks past her birthday because of this issue going abroad. I’m going to keep her on formula for the holiday and switch to cows milk after. I had cereal on our last holiday and the milk tasted so bad I couldn’t eat it. So I’d definitely take formula 🙈

I would recommend taking your own car seats, like you said it ensures you know they are of a high quality and will ensure that you don't get stuck and unable to go anywhere. My partner and I went on holiday recently to Malta and we organized to hire a car from the airport once we arrived and requested a car seat. Once we arrived they simply said they didn't have any available so we were stuck getting public transport to the hotel before figuring out what to do for the rest of the holiday. It was a little stressful but ended up ok as they had a car service like Uber that you could select that car seats are required and they ended up helping us when we didn't fancy the bus :) Every place would be so so different though, so worth checking ❤

Can you go away with the kids for the weekend to your mum and let Ash do the garage?

You should get two extra pieces of luggage per child when flying with infants and children. My husband and I went to Antigua earlier in the year with a 3 year old and a 7 month old and we took the pushchair, a travel cot and a car seat for each of them as we were told it would be safer to bring our own than use the hire ones out there. We had to use the roof box to get to the airport to fit everything in! And getting to check in with everything and two children was interesting... 🙈 Hopefully the private hire company can provide car seats, but if not, either pack them into their original boxes, or wrap them up in a lot of bubble wrap to protect them (and pack the duct tape into hold luggage because ours was confiscated at security!). We also packed lots of nappies into the infant carrier before wrapping it in bubble wrap to save space in the suitcases. I recommend a Trunki or similar for George. We had one for our 3 year old and let him pack in it what he wanted for the plane. It was really useful for getting around the airport too as it meant he didn't keep asking to be carried. For Halle, I personally would pack a lot of ready made toddler formula (and a couple or so bottles in hand luggage for the plane - they do allow it, but will need to scan it in a special machine at security), or bring powder and try to get to a shop to buy some bottled water which you can boil to make formula. I'm not sure I'd want to use local cows milk if I'm honest, but I'd definitely advise against using the tap water even once boiled. When in Antigua, we purchased a lot of distilled/purified water and boiled this to make formula for our daughter. Good luck! I'm looking forward to the vlogs! xx

All though I can not speak for a toddler, we just did a flight with our baby who was 9 months to Australia, and I will say this was probably a good time to fly with him. Find the other babies on the plane and let them play together. We did this and our little guy actually had a really fun time. It is not nearly as scary as it seems. You guys will have such a nice holiday and it is well worth the hassle of getting them there x

You’re so prepared- I flew with my two (5 and 2) in May for the first time- the actual flight was great, with stickers, drawing etc. it was more the delays and the faff of the airport that was exhausting 😅 cue toddler tantrum right when we went through security 😅 but honestly overall was much “better” than I anticipated!! You’ve got this 😘 such a fab mum xxx

Generally it’s not recommended to use car seats supplied by travel companies as they’re often poorly fitting/not the right age and you have no idea how they’ve been looked after or if they’ve been in a crash or have expired etc… as not everyone knows that car seats expire after 5-10 years depending on the brand. It would be safer to take yours protected by a box or car seat bag and padded out with nappies etc… you get two free pieces when travelling with a child and oversized luggage is treated differently and thrown around less so as long as they’re protected they should be fine. If you don’t have suitable seats to bring then car seat safety uk on fb is great at suggesting safe and small/light travel seats depending on age/weight/height of kids. Enjoy your holiday!
